To those out there who wipe tears, spills, cuts, and butts, I hope you have a great Mother’s Day this year. Whether your kids are yours by birth or by having a big heart, take some time and pat yourself on the back. When you do a good job at being a mom, everyone wins.
Let’s face it, nobody is sensible for the first few years out of the womb. It takes a while to teach a kid how to use a toilet without falling in, or worse, bringing some of the trip back with them. They can’t tell you what’s wrong with them. And sometimes it’s a 24-hour job just to make sure they don’t eat something silly like their shirt or crayons.
So yeah, thanks for all you moms out there do to help small people dress themselves and not get their toes jammed in a blender. Maybe there should be free wine or something to commemorate the occasion.
