Of Lemon Drizzle Cake And Growing Things

So far, my indoor projects are proceeding nicely. We got rain again, returning the land to its new swamp-like state. My feet sink into the ground wherever I walk. There is standing water in the front yard.

I made a lemon drizzle cake, from scratch, and it did not turn out poorly. The other people eating the cake said it was, “Againable.” This is code for praise. I have found ways to ignore it.

My peppers are beginning to outgrow their pods. I shall have to take them and plant them in pots. By the time late Spring hits, the temperature should be high enough that I can take them outside. I need the weather to stay above 60F (~15C). There’s usually a freeze right around Easter. Afterwards, I can plant, provided the bog has dried up.

Herbs and tomatoes are doing well. In fact, I’m running into a bit of a problem. I expected more attrition from my plants. This isn’t happening, so I need to gather more pots. Plastic ones from Wal-Mart might be better for me. They’re cheap but durable, and they won’t crack if I let the plant inside grow too big.

My mental health is going okay. Outside of a few periods here and there, I’m having more time spent out of the fog. Mornings are still a little bit of trouble. Some of this is the pollen and my allergies. There’s nothing I can do about it.
